Are you new to showing cats? Is this your first cat show as an exhibitor? Never fear, we are here to help!

If you're having trouble figuring out how to enter the show, or have any other questions, please feel free to contact our entry clerk, who will be happy to help you through the process.

When you fill out the Summary Sheet (your "order form" for the show), be sure to check the "I am a new exhibitor" checkbox. That will let the entry clerk know that you're new to showing cats. She'll send you our New Exhibitors' Guide, and will also try to make sure your assigned cage space is near someone who can help you through the show.

Also, be sure to attend our New Exhibitor Orientation, which is held on before the show starts on Saturday morning -- at 8:30 AM (after check-in and before judging starts). It will take place in Judging Ring 3 (conducted by Theresa Kempton). Topics covered will include (but are not limited to):

  • How do I know when to take my cat to a judging ring?
  • What do the award flats mean on the judging cage?
  • When do I take my cat back to the benching area after judging?
  • Show protocol
  • How are points earned for titles and regional/international wins?

Our New Exhibitors' Guide covers additional topics, including:

  • What to do before the show (a pre-show checklist)
  • What to bring to the show
  • What happens at a cat show
  • Cat grooming tips (for before and during the show)
